SJNA is completely volunteer-led — no paid staff, just neighbors who care about this place. For just $100 a year, you can help protect what makes San Jose special and have a real voice in decisions that affect our streets, safety, and future. No stuffy rules. Just neighbors helping neighbors.

It's important to be aware that while dues and contributions to the San Jose Neighborhood Association, Inc. may not be tax deductible, your support goes to benefit the entire neighborhood.

Stewarding Every Dollar for Our Neighborhood

Your $100 annual membership dues go directly back into projects that benefit the entire community. As a volunteer-led association with no paid staff, every dollar supports the work that keeps San Jose safe, beautiful, and connected.

How We’re Using Dues Right Now

Advocacy. Supporting neighborhood improvement projects, traffic calming efforts, and meetings with city officials.
Communications & Outreach — Printing, running this website, and leveraging no-cost-or low-cost tech tools and platforms to get the word out.

What We’re Building Toward

As resources allow, we also plan to expand into:

Beautification projects (community gardens, entryway plantings, and small neighborhood improvements)
Community Events (block parties, community garage sale, and seasonal activities)
Safety Initiatives (neighborhood watch coordination and working with local law enforcement)

Current Priorities

Right now, we’re focused on two key initiatives:

• Launching and maintaining this website so neighbors have a reliable place to stay informed.

• Revitalizing the historic entrance at El Ciento Boulevard as quickly as possible
